|Appalachian Highlanders Pipes and Drums is once again hosting this year's Burns Night to celebrate the life of Scotland's national bard. Robert Burns was the 18th century Scottish poet - song writer - story teller who helped birth a Scottish renaissance that changed the world. As a Jacobite at heart, Burns was an avid proponent of the American Revolution and an ardent fan of George Washington, even writing an ode to celebrate George's birthday! We are thrilled to be hosting this evening's celebration at the historic Tavern Restaurant in Abingdon, VA, built in 1779. Come join us!
Tickets are $50 and include entertainment, meal (traditional haggis, neeps, etc.), and non-alcoholic drinks. A CASH BAR will be available.

Downtown Roanoke, Inc. and McDonald's are partnering to provide the biggest and best St. Patrick's Day Parade in the region! Featuring old favorites and exciting new additions, this year is sure to be a hit for families all over the Roanoke Valley!
The McDonald's St. Patrick's Day Parade and Shamrock Festival happens this year on Saturday, March 11th in Downtown Roanoke. The McDonald's St. Patrick's Day Parade will run from Jefferson Street to Campbell Avenue and Campbell Avenue to Williamson Road. The all-new Shamrock Festival will feature music from local and regional talent and is located at Wells Fargo's Plaza, at the corner of Market Street and Salem Avenue.
Festivities start at 11AM.

|High Knob Music Festival||Saturday, June 17th, 2017|
|Nestled in the forest close to High Knob Lake, The annual High Knob Mountain Music Festival celebrates a music legacy found throughout the westernmost tip of Virginia. This year, eight highly acclaimed regional bands and a special "Headliner" will fill the forest with music. Watch for the special announcement All performances will be held in the High Knob Recreation Area's amphitheater.
This event is free and open to the public, 12 noon - 8:30 pm. Plan to spend the entire day enjoying the sweet sounds of uniquely Appalachian tunes against the backdrop of blue sky and the natural beauty of High Knob Recreation Area.
Bring chairs, blankets and pack a picnic basket. There won't be food vendors on site.
